# How is xRA used?

xRA offers three distinct functionalities that form the basis of the decision matrix:

* **Instant Exit to** RA **(x**RA **-->** RA**):** This conversion allows for an immediate transfer of xRA to RA at a rate of X\* RA per xRA with a Y\*% haircut applied.
* **Instant Exit to ve**RA **(x**RA **--> ve**RA**):** With this functionality, xRA can be instantly converted to veRA at a rate of 1 veRA per xRA.
* **Vesting of xRA (x**RA **-->** RA **or ve**RA**):** Vesting allows users to receive the full value of the RA backing each xRA, through various methods:

 * Minimum Vesting Length (Cancellation Period): The minimum vesting period for xRA is set at 14 days (86400s \* 14), during which it cannot be canceled or returned.
 * Maximum Vesting Length (100% Exit): The maximum vesting period for a full exit of xRA is 120 days (86400s \*120).

 Once the minimum vesting length has been surpassed, it becomes impossible to cancel the vesting to retrieve your initial xRA.

X\* = Variable changable by governance that represents the amount of xRA -> RA conversion from instant exits

Y\* = Variable that represents the haricut % determinable from X

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.ra.exchange/ra-tokenomics/xra-wip/how-is-xra-used.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
